THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

Wife to husband, "Something's been bothering me for several days. We need to talk." Husband, "Ok. What is it?"

Wife, "Several days ago, you received a perfumed letter in fancy handwriting. Your hands trembled as you read it; and your face turned white. What was that letter?" Husband, "Hmmm...I'm glad you asked. I've wanted to talk to you about it."

Wife (impatiently), "What WAS IT?"
Husband, "It was a letter from the dress shop downtown. It said you owed them $740!"

A person can not know, or bring, peace until he has first made peace with God.
"There is no peace, saith the Lord, unto the wicked." (Is. 48:22)

Jesus made peace with God for all men when He allowed Himself crucified for our sakes.
The only way to receive real peace is through surrender to Jesus.
The only way to be a peacemaker is to have Jesus as Lord.

No Jesus, no peace.
Know Jesus, know peace.

To know Jesus as Lord results in supreme peace within our souls.
To know Jesus as Lord results in peace going from our souls.
The vertical relationship with Christ results in good horizontal relationships with others.

A "peacemaker" is an "ambassador" for Christ.
It is a lifetime occupation!

And that's why genuine peacemakers are called "children of God!"

Are you a peacemaker?

Love ya,
Bruce
