THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
<><><><><>
The Sunday School teacher began the class with a question, "Boys and girls, what do we know about God?"
One little girl raised her hand and said, "He's an ARTIST!"
The teacher asked, "How do we know God is an artist?"
The little girl responded, "You know ....'Our Father Who does art in heaven..."

Ps 8:2-4
2 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.
3 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;
4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
(KJV)

The Word of God is STRENGTH.
And when children state the Word of God simply, it is strength of ENCOURAGEMENT.
When we look around us, we see the artistry and beauty of God's creation. In the creation, we are reminded of God's power and wisdom. We are also reminded of His eternal presence.
The "moon and the stars" reflect the glory of God. They are lights in the darkness. The lights of the moon and the stars continually reflect the glory of God. They do not fail.
Christ is our Light in the darkness of sin. The "light" of God shines in the Person of Jesus Christ to show us the way OUT OF darkness. (2Corinthians 4:6)
The Person of Jesus Christ demonstrates the desire of God to "visit" man, pouring out His love and saving us from the darkness of sin.
We are sinners, and fail in reflecting the "light" of God. We are not as faithful as the inanimate moon and stars.
Yet God wants to "visit" us. He wants to take us as canvas and paint His picture. God desires that our canvas will reflect HIS PICTURE!
Truly God "does art in heaven...." And He desires to "do art" in US!
Love ya,

Children are mirrors of their teaching.
