THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Two pastors were playing golf on Monday. One of them said, "God really blessed me with a great sermon yesterday. He opened the gate to green pastures, still waters and restored souls."
The other pastor asked, "How did the congregation respond?"
The first pastor said, "Well, most of 'em just swung on the gate!"

1 Tim 1:15
This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
KJV

"An apple a day keeps the doctor away," is an old saying. Is it true?
"He's as old as Methuselah," is an old saying. Is it true?
Actually, neither of those old sayings are true. They have some facsimile of truth, however they do not stand the test of time and with all people.
But THIS is a saying that is ALWAYS true: "..Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.." Paul admits he was "chief," of all sinners because he persecuted Christians and the Christian church. Yet, God's purpose for coming into the world was STILL to offer salvation; and to offer it to Paul.
It is a saying one can make with CERTAINTY. Jesus Himself said, "..the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost." (Luke 19:10)
It is an EVERYDAY truth. That saying outlines God's purpose in creating, sustaining and coming into the world. And we must remember that God is always the same: "because He continueth ever," and "hath an unchangeable priesthood." (Heb 7:24)
This saying is PERSONAL and "worthy of all acceptation." If you have received Christ as your Lord and Savior, then you have a PERSONAL experience. And that personal experience can be received by ANY person: "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Rom 10:13)
Yes, the Gospel of Christ Jesus is a "faithful saying."
It is worthy of repeating that "Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners."
Repeat it to as many as you can today!
Love ya,
Bruce
