THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

A young mother decided to begin taking her children to church.
They were excited about, and couldn't wait to go back next week.
After a few weeks, they were still excited about it, and the practices of the church began to take a prominent place in their lives.

One day, Mom prepared the children's favorite lunch.
As she left the kitchen, she heard the four-year-old say,
"And Jesus took the cup, and He blessed it, and He gave God thanks for it,
and He said, 'Fill it with Folgers and wake them up!'

The wide-open mouth is a sign of astonishment and willing receptivity.
If we willingly receive God's Word daily, He will "wake us up" to a genuine relationship with Him.

God is the Lord of salvation.
It is God Who brought us out of the bondage of sin, and introduced us to His wonderful freedom in Christ.

He is our Creator.
He is our Savior.
He is our Provider.
He is our Sustainer.
And it is God Who will COMPLETE our salvation by one day taking us to the "Promised Land" of His eternal heaven.

But God is not only Lord of the was and shall be.
He is also Lord of the now.

Jesus is Lord of the mercy and grace that saved Adam and Eve.
Jesus is Lord of the mercy and grace that shall bring us to eternal glory.

But Jesus is also Lord of what we need today.
He is our PROVIDER and our SUSTAINER.

Through the use of church and religion, we often try to manufacture our own mode of provision.
But God would have us open our mouths wide, and He will FILL it!

God wants us to OPEN ourselves to accept what He says.
God wants us to OPEN ourselves to receive the mysteries of His Word.
God wants us to OPEN ourselves to obey His Word.

The best part of waking up is to have God’s Word in your soul’s cup!

Open your heart and be filled with God’s Word daily!

Love ya!
