The strong man at a circus sideshow gave an exhibition of his strength by squeezing an orange to pulp. Then he offered a reward to anyone who could squeeze one more drop out of the orange.
A little, scrawny man stepped up and squeezed. Several drops of juice came out of the orange.
The strong man was amazed! "How'd you do that?"
The little man said, "I've been a church treasurer for several years!"

The church is to evangelize, educate and minister. We cannot stop with evangelism and education. Individuals in the church not only need to be converted and educated, they need to be transformed into integral working parts of the ministry.
Bible studies, prayer meetings, seminars, workshops and fellowship dinners all have their place. But they have no meaning if the membership is not GOING and DOING God's will. Yes, the church is a "hospital for sinners," but when we get well, we need to go back to WORK. The church is not a country club for relaxation, it's an organization for mobilization.
If we wanted to take a vacation, we'd squeeze A LITTLE MORE into this week, so we could take next week off. Why not squeeze A LITTLE MORE for God? We can certainly work a little more time in for visitation!
The congregation, or individual member, that is not going and doing God's will is only "deceiving" themselves. As Paul says, "..having a FORM of godliness, but denying the power thereof..." (2Timothy 3:5).
