THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

How many workers does it take to put a light bulb in the US Congress?

NONE! They prefer to work in the DARK!

1 Chron 4:23
23 These were the potters, and those that dwelt among plants and hedges: there they dwelt with the king for his work.

In the midst of a list of genealogy we can learn a lot!

They may have been mere potters, and lived in the ditches because there they found the clay for their work. But they dwelt with the KING! It matters not how meager are our dwelling places when God is WITH us!

They may have been mere potters, but they were NEEDED for the king's WORK! Normally, their craft would have yielded a meager salary. But they were given great privilege when the king determined they were necessary for his purposes. It is a privilege and honor to do service to our Lord, Jesus.

Our position in this world does not tell the whole story. For our talents and skills are NEEDED by the King, Jesus!
He says we are of WORTH to Him and necessary for His WORK!

No position or occupation will bar a person from being useful to our Lord in His work. First, we can thank the Lord for work to do. That work is a provision of God for our sustenance.

Secondly, we can glorify our Lord where we work. We can be "witnesses" to our co-laborers.

And, third, we can use the skills of our labor in service to our Lord.

You are loved,
You are useful,
You are worthy,
in any work for the Lord, Jesus.

Believe it!
Live it!

Love ya,
Bruce
