THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
Six-year-old Angie came home from school with a blue ribbon.
Mom: Honey how did you get the ribbon?
Angie: I won it for knowing an answer in natural history.
I said a giraffe had 3 legs.
Mom: But honey, a giraffe has four legs.
Angie: Mebe so, but I was closer than anybody else!

1 Peter 1:2-5
2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the
Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto
obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus
Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus
Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath
begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection
of Jesus Christ from the dead,
4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and
that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith
unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Light from the Word.
Praise God!
He HAS saved us from the penalty of sin - eternal death!
He IS saving us from the power of sin - the temptations
and trials of life!
He WILL KEEP us until we receive an inheritance that is
incorruptible, undefiled, and never fades away!
That doesn't mean we CANNOT sin. (Rom. 3:23)
But "sanctification of the Spirit" means when
we DO sin, we are forced to our knees with shame to
CONFESS our sin and receive forgiveness. (1John 1:9)
The "sanctification of the Spirit" constantly
moves us to OBEDIENCE to God!
THAT is how faith works!
It is the dynamic power of God working IN us! (Philippians 2:13)
Let the POWER of God's Holy Spirit work in YOU today!
Love ya!
