THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
A corporal was at the guardpost.
A general came in a staff car, driven by a lieutenant.
The corporal said, "Sir, I must see your ID before you can enter."
General, "Never mind, son. I'm the commander."
Corporal, "Sir, I'm sorry, but I have orders to shoot if you don't have an ID!"
General, "Drive on lieutenant, I'm the commander."
Corporal, "Sir, would you rather I shoot the tires, or YOU?"!!

Perhaps we needn't "watch" so carefully as those 1st century Christians.
They went everywhere in peril, their very lives in their hands.
Or, don't we?
Perhaps we will not be eaten by hungry lions, or crucified upside down, or beheaded.
But we might be hugged to death by partial truths, slanted morality, and indifference!
The devil doesn't care which. He just wants to destroy our witness.
Christians are the last line of defense against the devil's wiles.
Never has there been a time when we should be "watching" MORE!
To fall asleep at the guardpost is shameful behavior!
Let us be alert!
Let us be watching closely!
And, let us speak out against immorality!
Then we shall be able to say with Paul, "We are more than conquerors through Him that loved us..." (Rom. 8:37)
Love ya,
Bruce
