THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

<><><><><>

A little girl stayed for dinner in the home of her friend. The vegetable was buttered boccoli, and the mother asked if she liked it.

She said, "Oh yes, I love it."

But when the bowl of broccoli was passed, she declined to take any.

The mother said, "I thought you lived broccoli!"

The girl said, "Oh, yes ma'am. I do, but not enough to EAT it!"

1 John 2:18-19
18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

Yes! Within 50 years of Christ's crucifiction, resurrection and ascension there were people saying that they were Christ come again! And it is still true today that many people are saying the same thing.

Jack Daniels, a Southern Baptist evangelist, told of an incident that once happened in his hometown of Garland, Texas. He said a man claiming to be Jesus Christ was getting so much attention, they had 12 blocks roped off and barricades to keep the traffic down. Members of the press were there from all over the world!

People will spend money and waste time to hear a lie, but they won't pick up the Bible to read the truth!

Jesus said, "Wherefore by their FRUITS ye shall know them." (Matt. 7:20)
One "fruit" of a born-again, purchased-by-the-blood, sealed-in-the-Spirit, sold-out-to-Jesus Christian is CONTINUED servantship in a Bible believing church.

We ARE living in the last days! Jesus could come at any moment!

Keep praying.
Keep studying your Bible.
Keep ministering in your church.
Keep telling the lost about our wonderful Savior.

And as my friend, and pastor, Bro. Shane Duke says, "KEEP PRESSING ON!"

Love ya,
Bruce
