THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

The pastor came to get a haircut, and sat down in the chair.
The barber said, "Pastor, I guess you know I don't believe in God."

Just then a man with long hair passed by the barber's window.
The pastor said, "See that man? I don't believe in haircuts either."

The barber said, "But one must come IN to get a haircut!"

The pastor said, "Exactly! And that's my point!"

We are saved "by grace."
Grace is the source of God's gift of salvation to mankind.
Grace can be defined as: God's Riches At Christ's Expense.
Grace is the offer of spending eternity with God.

We are saved "through faith."
Faith is a gift, given to those who surrender to Christ.
We cannot earn salvation through works.
But "faith" is the product of salvation having occured in us.

By grace God offers salvation.
In surrender to Christ as Lord, we receive faith.
Faith then begins to work IN us and THROUGH us exhibiting the fact of our salvation. "For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure." (Phil 2:13)

Is God's gift of faith being exhibited in your life?
Are you showing Him working IN and THROUGH you?

Love ya,
Bruce
