THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

<><><><><>

An enterprising young boy placed a sign over his new lemonade stand that read: "ALL YOU CAN DRINK FOR A DIME."

His first customer was a businessman who placed his dime on the table. The boy gave him a large glass of lemonade. The businessman enjoyed the lemonade so much he asked for another glass. The young boy said, "That'll be one dime sir."

The man said, "But your sign says, 'ALL YOU CAN DRINK FOR A DIME.'"

The little boy said, "Sir, one glass IS all you can drink for a dime."

Phil 4:19
19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
(KJV)

Perhaps one of the most refreshing drinks of summer is a tall glass of lemonade. But the most refreshing drink of life is our Lord, Jesus Christ.

God says He will provide ALL our need according to His riches in glory. Of course God owns EVERYTHING! Therefore everything God has is at our disposal if it becomes our NEED. God does not promise to provide our WANTS.

Also God says He provides all our needs "BY" Christ Jesus. It is through a personal daily relationship with Jesus Christ that we receive the supply of our needs.

Sometimes Christians try to get by without talking to our Lord in prayer, or listening to our Lord through Bible study. However, our needs are supplied "BY" Christ Jesus. We must keep that daily personal relationship with Him fresh through prayer and Bible study.

It is not God Who needs our relationship, but vice-versa. By grace, God supplies salvation -- only through a surrendered relationship to Christ, our Lord. By grace, God supplies our needs daily -- only through a surrendered relationship to Christ, our Lord.

Today, let us meet with Christ and know His joy in our hearts as we speak to Him in prayer, and as He speaks to us through His Word. Then, we shall realize the full supply of His grace.

Love ya,
