THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

A congregation wanted to build a new church. A building committee was selected and came up with a plan. However, the congregation wanted some input into the plan. So they called a general membership meeting.
Four suggestions came out of the meeting.
1. We will build a new church building.
2. The new building will be located on the same site as the old building.
3. The material from the old building will be used to help build the new one.
4. The congregation will continue to use the old building while the new one is built.

Do you want your future to be different? Then you must make changes. Discard old plans, make new ones. Get out of the "comfort zone," and get into a "growing" zone. Too many of us make decisions based on our "comfort zone," and that's why we seldom see improvement.
We get upset because it seems we're "going nowhere." But we refuse to make the changes that are necessary because they make us uncomfortable. It leaves us in distress!
David said, "I called upon the LORD in distress."
Let's just face it. Most of us don't call on the Lord to make changes in our lives, because we're afraid He might really DO it! And we don't really want to have changes! If change comes unsolicited and makes us uncomfortable, we complain!
There are some old adages which apply here.
"The turtle gets nowhere unless he sticks his neck out!"
"If you want the fruit, you've gotta get out on the limb!"
"There is risk even if you don't take risk!"
Are you uncomfortable with being comfortable? Call on the Lord and ask for Him to CHANGE things! Do you fear what the world might do? It already HAS!! Forget that and GO ON!

Is your business in trouble? Call on the Lord!
Is your marriage in trouble? Call on the Lord!
Is your life mundane? Call on the Lord!
God can and will make changes in your life. He can revitalize your thinking and improve your busines or job. He can reenergize your marriage and give you joy in your spouse. He can place innovative change in your life and make it exciting!
