Let's just face it. Most of us a kinda like the donkey when it comes to change.
We bray about it, and we're awful backward about going forward.

Among all the variables of life, God says, "I am the LORD, I change not!" (Malachi 3:6) If there is one thing we can "hang our hat on," it is that Jesus Christ is "..the SAME yesterday, today, and forever!" (Hebrews 13:8) We have a God in "..Whom there is no variableness, neither shadow of turning!" (James 1:17)
This universe and world are always changing. New inventions, new entrepreneurships, new governments, new philosophies, enter our world everyday. These reflect the temporal nature of man, his never-ending quest to BE someone, and his burning desire to better himself. But finally, death comes to every man.
The sun gets dimmer, the stars grow farther away each year. This reflects the temporal nature of the universe itself. The universe is expending energy. And, if left alone, sometime in the future it will burn itself out.
But one day, and soon I believe, the Lord is gonna "fold up" this ole universe like a garment and put it away! Then there's gonna be a NEW "heaven and earth," that will endure PERMANENTLY!
Let us not get too "caught up" in this temporary life.
Let us not be "backward about going forward" into Christ.
Let us focus upon Him Who is: Immortal, Immutable.
His love which created us is still the same!
His mercy which offers forgiveness is still the same!
His grace which brought the cleansing blood of Christ is still the same!
And His faith is the only stable thing in this universe today!
