THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
A young boy entered a barber shop, and the barber whispered to a customer, "This kid is not so bright. Watch while I prove it to you."
The barber put a dollar bill in one hand, and two quarters in the other hand.
Then he called the boy over, and asked, "Which do you want, son?"
The boy took the 2 quarters.
Speaking to the customer after the boy left, the barber said, "See. Not too bright."
The customer walked outside, and saw the boy coming out of the candy shop.
He went to the boy and asked, "Son, do you mind telling me why you took the 2 quarters?"
The boy said, "Well, sir. The minute I take the dollar, the game's OVER!"
(Methinks he was a child of "wisdom!")

Luke 7:31-35
31 And the Lord said, Whereunto then shall I liken the men of this generation? and to what are they like?
32 They are like unto children sitting in the marketplace, and calling one to another, and saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned to you, and ye have not wept.
33 For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and ye say, He hath a devil.
34 The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners!
35 But wisdom is justified of all her children.

_______THOUGHT_________________________________________________________
Most people, when it comes to Jesus, are like little children.
Children sit around wanting to play. But, when a game is suggested they don't like, they won't play.
Men are like that about Jesus. Some, like John the Baptist, come along preaching "hell-fire and brimstone," but some folk don't like that.
Then, some come along preaching love, grace, meekness and kindness.
But some don't like that either.
And, men would rather TALK ABOUT the messenger than to LISTEN to the message.
But those who DO listen to Jesus, and His messengers, find salvation to be the joy of life.
Life becomes meaningful and full of happiness. Because:
Life is fun when ya know sins are forgiven;
Life is full when ya know, one day, Jesus will take ya to heaven.
Whoever becomes a "child of God" becomes a child of "wisdom!"
Love ya,
Bruce
