THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
The coach came out to the mound and told the rookie pitcher that he was taking him out of the game.
The rookie said, "But, Coach! Look whose coming up to bat. I struck him out last time!"
Coach, "Yeah, Son. But, we're still in the same inning!"

John 15:19
If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

Concentrate upon the middle phrase: "..I have chosen you OUT OF the world..."
If we get bogged down in WHY, we should thwart the purpose of the statement. Can one define Divine Mercy, Divine Grace, Divine Election?
No. I cannot comprehend WHY God loved me enough to save me!
But, let us concentrate upon WHAT FOR! Jesus has chosen His people to be "OUT OF" the world. Yes. He chose them FROM the world. But, we are to be different: "not of the world." THAT's "what for!"
We are to take on the characteristics of our Master!
In a world filled with hatred, we are to express LOVE!
In a world of disorder, we are to express order.
In a world filled with strife and contention, we are to display kindness and gentleness.
Christian, realize that you are chosen from the ilk of the world.
Realize that you are chosen to represent Christ in the world.
And, when you have fulfilled His purpose for your life,
He will take you OUT of the world!
Love ya,
Bruce
