THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
A preacher was asked why in his early years he preached loud and vehemently, but in his latter years he had given way to a more persuasive form of preaching.
The preacher said, "Well, when I was young, I thought it was the thunder that lit people up; but then I realized it was the lightning. So I determined to thunder less and 'lighten more!"

Col 3:4
When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

"Christ, who is our life!" Is He EVERYTHING to you?
It is Christ Who gave you the physical life you have. He is the Creator. "God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;" (Heb 1:1-2).
It is Christ Who gave you the spiritual eternal life that you have. For "you hath he quickened , who were dead in trespasses and sins;" (Eph 2:1).
It is Christ Who gives us faith which is the substance and evidence of our hope. "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.." (Heb 11:1).
It is Christ Who is the sustenance of our daily lives. "This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die." (John 6:50)
Just as a soldier fights for his captain, so should we contend with life for our Lord, Jesus. "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain." (Philippians 1:21)
Christ should be the object of our lives. Our purpose is IN Him and our goal is FOR Him. And if we live in close fellowship with Him, then we shall grow to be more like Him with each passing day.
Then, one day, He will see to it that we are WITH Him in eternal glory. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory!!
Ain't God GOOD!?!
Love ya,
Bruce
