THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

At the wedding, the little boy was coming down the aisle. He would take two steps, then he would look at the crowd and say, "RRRROOOOAAAARRRRR!!!"
Every time he took two steps, he would look at someplace in the crowd and "RRRROOOOAAAARRRR!!!"
The crowd was in stitches with laughter by the time the little boy reached the front. When he arrived there, the groom bent over and asked him what he was doing.
And with a sweet innocent smile, he said, "I was being the Ring Bear."

Rev 21:2-4
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
(KJV)

Last night at church, we were watching the Simulcast of the Forty Days of Purpose campaign as a prelude to studying and praying for the next forty days. Pastor Rick Warren, of Saddleback Baptist in California was preaching a sermon.
He said something like this: "Some people say they can love God but don't have to be in church. That's like telling a man you love him, but you can't stand his WIFE!"
One of God's purposes for our creation is to have fellowship with God's people. Through fellowship we encourage others and are encouraged ourselves. Part of loving God is belonging to His church.
Part of church is education. We learn from God as we study the Bible, and we learn more from God as we study the Bible together.
One day, God is going to come and collect His "bride," the church. Then we'll all be together in glory forever. There, we will love each other eternally. Church is for practice!!
Since we love God, let us be part of His church. Let us come together for collective worship. Let us come together for education. Let us come together for fellowship. Let us come together and take part in ministering to others.
Love ya,
Bruce

"To live above with those we love, that will be glory;
to live below with those we know, well that's another story." ((Rick Warren))
