DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

God is very providential. He gives us 12 years to develop a love for our children before they become
TEENAGERS!!

Isa 44:22
"I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee."
KJV

I was born in the Smoky Mountains of Lenoir, NC. The other day we were there visiting, and I remembered why they call them the Smoky Mountains. Clouds generally cover the area, and the sun is blanketed for a large part of the day.

Our sins are as a black cloud which blank out the Light of God in our lives. They threaten us with rain, storm and deluge, and they cause us to sit in "the shadow of death."

But our blessed Lord, Jesus has "blotted out" the clouds of sin. By His Divine mercy, upon Calvary's cross, He opened the doorway of grace and poured out "exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think" (Eph 3:20)

When a sinner comes to the cross and yields his soul to Christ as Lord, then the "cloud" of sin is "blotted out!" His transgressions are removed from him by God's great love, and he openly stands in the "Light" of Christ.

Then why does God say, "return unto me?" Because we are sinners still! We are constantly "clouding up" our own atmosphere and straining our relationship with God.

That is why God says, "return unto me." Daily we should go to God in repentance for sin, and ask Him yet to blot out the clouds. God does not want His justified children to live in the shadows of darkness. His desire is that we live in the LIGHT of Christ.

Oh, Lord forgive me this day my transgressions!
Blot out the clouds of my sin, and let me live in Your LIGHT!

Love ya,
Bruce
