THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

When I was teaching in a private school, sometimes I would have to leave the high school section and go to the prinicpal's office which was in the grammer school section.

One day, I passed the 1st grade teacher, who had her students all lined up at the drinking fountain before going outside for recess.

A little curly, redhaired girl took a drink at the fountain, smiled sweetly at us and went outside. I said, "That little girl sure has a sweet smile."

The teacher said, "Yes. And it's saved her life a dozen times!"

Isa 55:1
Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

Jesus is the "Fountain of life!"

No matter the condition of your emotions, Christ calls "Come!" Smiling sweetly, frowning horridly, crying uncontrollably, the water of life from Christ is FREE!

Whether you are socially acceptable or a social outcast, Christ calls "Come!" Dressed impeccably, or dressed roughly, the Fountain of life is FREE!

Whether one is rich or poor doesn't matter; the "Fountain" is "without money and without price!"

Christ has promised His presence to all who will "Come!" Along with His presence is sweet fellowship with God. Along with His presence is provision and protection. Along with His presence is wisdom and strength. All these, and more, are available "without money and without price!"

Jesus requires no high virtues. Neither does He require any payment. He simply calls, "COME!" And all who are willing may fill their cups with the joy of His love.

How often do we enter a day of life without first visiting the "Fountain" for the sustaining "water of life?" He Who IS life desires to help us LIVE life "more abundantly."

Come each day, come each hour. The "Fountain" NEVER dries up!

Love ya,
Bruce
