THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
Sometimes, part of our mind says "continue on," but another part of our mind doesn't know which direction.
Three professors went down to the train station together. On the way they got into a philosophical discussion.
Suddenly, the train began to pull out. Two of the professors scrambled aboard, and the other one was left on the platform.
A passerby noticed, and said, "Well, they just got on that train in time."
The remaining professor said, "Yes, but they came here to see me off!"

PROVERBS 4
20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
24 Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.
25 Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.
26 Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.
27 Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.

A child of God will "attend to," or pay attention to reading the Bible.
He/she will want to LISTEN to God as He speaks through His Word.
Determined obedience is the key to being a child of God through Jesus Christ (verses 21-25).
I believe Jesus was referring to this when He said in John 8:30-32:
"As he spake these words, many believed on him. Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
To continue studying the Word of God is to come to know the expressed will of God for man.
That perfectly expressed will of God for man is to live as JESUS CHRIST lived!
So, if we CONTINUE to study the Word of God then we come to know the PERSON of Jesus Christ.
THAT is what gives FREEDOM to living!
Love ya,
Bruce
