THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
A student of philosophy was taking his final written exam at his
university. The assignment for the 5-hour long exam was to write
an essay on the topic, “What is courage?”
The young man sat at his desk and thought for a little while. Finally,
he scribbled something on the piece of paper in front of him, got up,
and turned in the piece of paper.
All he had written was:
"THIS is!"

Here are a series of four commands to the Christian.
Please note that they are all in the PRESENT tense.
Therefore, they are to be CONTINUAL actions in our life of faith.
WATCH YE!
Be "on quard." Be alert.
Be constantly watching out for those things which would diminish faith.
Particularly guard against: dissension, gossip, erroneous doctrines, and false teachers.
STAND FAST IN THE FAITH!
KNOW the truth, and maintain truth.
Adhere to confidence in God.
Withstand the insinuations and teachers of falsehood.
QUIT YE LIKE MEN!
Demonstrate bravery.
Be not cowardly.
When everyone else bends toward wavering in faith,
BE STRONG!
Hold to the principles of truth from God's Word, regardless of what the world does.
There is one way to be sure that you activate these four commands constantly in the Christian life:
When faced with doubt or fear, KNEEL in prayer FIRST!
Love ya,
Bruce
