THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
Down here in Louisiana, our teachers feel it's important that education is well-rounded.
One teacher asked the following question on a test.
LIST, IN ANY ORDER, THE FOUR SEASONS:
1. ________ 2. ________ 3.________ 4. ________
Now, could you possibly imagine that 67% of the students gave the following answer?
1. SQUIRREL SEASON
2. DEER SEASON
3. DUCK SEASON
4. TURKEY SEASON

Many are the "seasons" of life in which we tend to delight ourselves.
None are as wonderful as spending time with Jesus!
It is a fact that meditating upon our Lord is indeed delightful.
It is delightful to:
remind ourselves of how, when we were lost in sin, His mercy and grace sought us;
remember how His sacrifice bought us;
and realize how His Word has taught us.
As we meditate, we are reminded how God changed our heart when we surrendered to Him.
Now, our desires are becoming more His desires!
We desire to have sweet fellowship with Him.
We desire to love and care for our brothers and sisters in Christ.
We desire to see the lost become saved.
We desire to encourage and help other believers.
And the good part is: as we desire what God desires, He gives them to us!
In the believer, faith and "delight" are joined at the hip.
Prayer becomes pleasure.
Study becomes joy.
Servitude and duty become blessings of happiness.
