THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

Yesterday, on Thursday, the Director of the Department of Motor Vehicles was finally able to resign.

He had been standing in line since Monday.

THOUGHT______________________________________________________________________

The high school I attended was very large, over 400 in my graduating class.
That simply meant that lunch lines were LONG.

When I joined the USAF, almost 1/2 of the 4 years was spent, you guessed it, standing in line.

So, I should have abnormal training for patience.
But I don't have it!

Sometimes we just get "fed up" with life!
We see political impetus forcing freedom of abortion to minor children.
We see our government promoting sex by handing out free condoms.
We see governmental funding and promotion of gambling.
We see prominent political people promoting homosexuality.
And when most stop lights turn green, they send an invisible signal to activate the horn of the car behind us.

We find ourselves thinking, "Why doesn't the Lord come NOW?!"
Where do we find patience?

It is found in "the love of God!"
It is in "the love of God" that we find obedience, kindness, gentleness, tenderness, and yes, even patience.

Let us "stir up the gift of God" (2Tim. 1:6) that is in us: His Holy Spirit.
He will direct us into "the love of God."
He will give us proper direction for all of our passions.
He will give us purity of motive and righteousness in determination.

Let's don't rush it!
There are other people standing in line too.
They need to hear the Gospel.

Love ya,
Bruce
