THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

A woman got off the escalator with a dog. She approached the security guard with a scowl, and pointed to a sign that read: "dogs must be carried on the escalator."

Fuming, the woman said, "Sir, it took me 30 min. to find this dog!"

I think that dog was DRAGGED!

Here in our text the Greek word helkuo is translated "draw."
It means to magnetize and compel following
It does NOT mean to drag!

When you and I were lost, we heard the Gospel of Jesus.
That wonderful story magnetized our hearts.
The love of God drew us into repentance and surrender.

Once we were drawn by His magnetizing love, we surrendered to His pulling power. And "He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ." (Philippians 1:6)

God is not going to tie, gag and drag anyone into heaven!
We must first come on our own volition!
AFTER, we come willingly He CONTINUES the work of salvation in such a manner as to pull us gently with Him, until we reach His desired end for us.

As willing as we were to be saved from hell, let us also be willing to follow in truth!
As we once were drawn to His love, let us be daily pulled into His direction!

Love ya,
Bruce
