Ps 102:16-22
16 When the LORD shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory.
17 He will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer.
18 This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people which shall be created shall praise the LORD.
19 For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; from heaven did the LORD behold the earth;
20 To hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose those that are appointed to death;
21 To declare the name of the LORD in Zion, and his praise in Jerusalem;
22 When the people are gathered together, and the kingdoms, to serve the LORD.

Verse 16 is Messianic and prophetical. It is one of the reasons that the Jewish people in Jesus' day refused to believe that He was the Messiah. It is the reason that Judas betrayed Him. They believed that when Messiah came, He would establish His power in Jerusalem and become the King of all the earth. But Jesus came to die for our sins first, and will fulfill this prophecy at His second coming.

The prophecy is "written for the generation to come," so that they will PRAISE the Lord.
The Lord God Himself is the ONLY ONE Who can establish righteousness, die for sins, and live to bring His people to glory!

God looked down from Glory and saw His people as "prisoners" groaning under the bondage of SIN!! (verse 19)
And He determined to come Himself in the Person of Jesus Christ and "loose" them! (verse 20)

It is Jesus Christ Who declared fully and completely the NAME OF THE LORD in Jerusalem. And all nations shall be gathered to Him there.

We are gathered to Him there today via the cross of Calvary. All believers come to Christ by way of repentance at the foot of the cross, denying self and giving themselves over to Christ. That's the "way" of repentence and surrender.

And one day, when Jesus comes again, all nations will be gathered to Him at the THRONE He will establish in Jerusalem. He will reign physically on this earth for 1,000 years.

These things should give Christians driving ambition to tell others about Jesus!

Love ya,
