THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
We learn a lot of erroneous information from plays, movies and poems.
Some of you may remember this little verse:
"Lizzie Borden took an axe,
And gave her mother forty whacks.
When she saw what she had done,
She gave her father forty-one."
Lizzie Borden was actually tried as a homicidal maniac in 1892.
But when the true facts were heard, it took the jury less than an hour to acquit her!

Rom 8:1-2
1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

_______THOUGHT_________________________________________________________
The eternal condemnation of God upon sinners has been lifted from those who are "in Christ."
Jesus has made us "free" from eternal judgment.
We have already been pronounced acquitted.
We have received new desires by the entrance of God's Holy Spirit in our spirit.
And, now, our desire is to live "after the Spirit," and not "after the flesh."
For the saved sinner, God has miraculously imputed the stainless perfection of Christ (2Cor. 5:21).
When the saved sinner sins, there are consequences.
Our fellowship with God is broken.
Our sweet communion with Him is interrupted.
We need to confess our sin and plead His forgiveness (1John 1:9).
Then, our fellowship with God is repaired by the same mercy and grace which saved us.
Therefore,
For the saved, "the law of sin and death" brings correction.
For the lost, the same Word of God brings conviction and condemnation.
If you are saved today, rejoice! The true fact of submission to Christ has made you "free from the law of sin and death!"
If you are without salvation through Christ today, repent!
Christ will make you "free" from eternal condemnation!
Love ya,
Bruce
