THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

I'm getting older, and was sittin' and ponderin' on old age.

Finally, I decided that old age is when you still have something on the ball, but you are just too tired to bounce it.

One thing I've noticed: old people seem to study their Bibles more than others. I guess that's 'cause they're crammin' for their finals!

And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.

One thing about old age as a Christian:
God is ALWAYS there!

It is He Who "made" us.
He will continue to "bear" and "carry" us until He delivers us safely to heaven.

Were it not for the mercy and grace of God, we would have never been born.
Were it not for the fact that God "bears" our sin, we could not be forgiven.
Were it not for His promise of heaven, we wouldn't have hope within us.

It is the realization of God's grace that "carries" us each day.
It is the realization of His love that makes life worth living.

Through the pains of old age, Jesus' love carries us.
His love helps us to continue on through each difficult moment.

Therefore, by God's help, we can "...still bring forth fruit in old age" (Ps 92:14)
We can, even through difficult moments, share God's love, mercy and grace with others.

Love ya,
Bruce
