THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
Is it true that people, after age 60, have a short-term memory storage problem?
Well, storage is not really the problem.
Retrieving is the problem.

And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.

PRAISE GOD! He promises that when we are old, He will not forsake us!
He has created us, formed us in the womb, watched over us in our infancy. And when we become old, with "hoars hairs" (gray), we need as much care as we did in our infancy. God promises to be there: to "carry" and "deliver".
When Israel was in their "infancy," God carried them out of Egypt. And even when their sins caused feebleness of life, God delivered them into the "promised land." Here, in Isaiah 46:4, God promises to take just as much care of them, and will "bear them upon eagle's wings" out of Babylon!!
God says, "I am He...." This is a statement of His unchanging nature. God is still the God of mercy, love, salvation, and care. He has always been, and always shall be "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever." (Heb 13:8)
When we are old and gray-headed or:
hurting with arthritis,
weak from illnesses,
unable to remember well,
and, even when our family tires of our antics,
God is STILL GOD!
And He cares!
Take comfort in this today, dear Christian.
And praise Him for His faithfulness!
Love ya,
Bruce
