THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
Most of you know that Burt McGee, my dad, was a real character.
Our Lord allowed us to play, as a two-man team, in "Scramble" tournaments for 55 consecutive years!
Last year, we went to play in a tournament, and Dad didn't contribute a shot!
It was unusual for him because he would usually at least make some putts or chips.
But we shot 78.
I told Dad, "We didn't do very well. We'll come back next week."
The next week, it was cold and windy. Again, he didn't contribute a shot.
We shot 80.
When we got in the car to leave, he looked at me and said, "Son, if you're just gonna keep getting worse, I don't wanna come back again!"

Ps 62:5
My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from Him.

Dad was always my golf "coach." When something was wrong, and I couldn't find it, I'd go out to his house. He'd watch me practice, and give me some suggestions.
I expected that from him.
And he expected that I'd come to him.
But Dad was also the one who taught me that all my expectations in life come from GOD!
As a surrendered servant of our Lord, we can always go to Him!
He always listens!
And, He always has a "word" for us.
For He promised His Holy Spirit would always be with us, and "he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you." (John 14:26)
When we are earnestly seeking to live for Christ, He is always with us.
He teaches us through His "Word," the Bible.
And He helps us to recall His teachings as we go about living.
When we are weak, we can draw on the "bank" of faith in Christ.
His supply is more than sufficient for all our need!
Let all your "expectation" be from God!
Love ya,
Bruce
