THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
Once upon a time (I love old stories that begin that way), a great king conquered many other countries by his techniques of war.
Finally, he had conquered the greatest country of them all, and was very proud of himself.
He stood on a large hill, accompanied by all his army.
He drew his sword and looked toward the sky, and called God into battle!!
Just then, a tiny gnat sprang into the open mouth of the king.
He promptly strangled to death!
1 Cor 1:27
"But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty..."

And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.

"It was far from an endorsement, but President Barack Obama told newspaper editors over the weekend that he would be "happy to look at" proposals for a federal bailout of their industry."

Now, I can understand a President, or even Senators and Congressmen seeking to please those who support him. For that would ensure further support in a future election.
On the other hand, how can we have "fair and equitable" reporting of news if the media is "sold" to the government? The first amendment, which guarantees freedom of press, would be SIDESTEPPED!
It is bad economic policy to reward outdated businesses which have not adapted with "bailouts."
But it would be an atrocity if the government "owned" the press!!
We cannot allow justice to stand "afar off."
"Equity" would cease to enter mainstream thought.
We must have FAIRNESS in reporting truth.
Let us who speak for God be the "gnats" in His hand.
Let us use our freedom of speech to glorify God and justness.
Love ya,
Bruce
