THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
<><><><><>
A little boy was going with his mother to church. They stopped for a "fast food" sandwich along the way. The child ran out of time before he could finish his sandwich.
When they got to the church, his mother insisted that he put the sandwich in his pocket to be finished later.
That evening the preacher spoke about the ability of God to be present in all places and at all times. They boy bowed his head during the sermon and said, "God, if you're in my pocket, please don't eat my sandwich."

Ex 6:3
3 And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.
KJV

To me, this is perhaps one of the most significant passages of Scripture in the Old Testament. The words "God Almighty" intimate the omnipresence and omnipotence of God. But the word "JEHOVAH" (or YHWH - Yehowah) represents the salvation of God. HE IS Savior!
Did you ever think about WHO it was that came to die on that cross at Calvary for your sins and mine? It was the Lord God Almighty, Jehovah in the Person of Jesus Christ.
He was the Creator of the world. When He spoke, things came into being from nothing.
He was the One that walked in the Garden of Eden with Adam & Eve.
He was the One that brought the flood and saved Noah & his family.
He was the One that appeared to Abraham on the plains of Mamre.
He was the One that called Moses to lead Israel out of slavery.
He was the One that held back the Red Sea.
He was the One that walked in the fire with the three Hebrew children.
When Jesus appeared to John and gave him the book of Revelation to write for our benefit He said, "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty." (Rev. 1:8)
Yes! WHAT A SAVIOR! He is the LORD ALMIGHTY!
Love ya,
