THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

Will retired as a teacher, then qualified as a First Aid Assistant.
He was given the assignment of working with Philip.
They would be using the dummie, "Resusi Annie" to show 5th graders proper resuscitation techniques. "Resusi Annie" was alway carried in a carrying case. Therefore, the dummie had no legs.

This was Will's first time to assist in Mrs. Johnson's 5th grade class.
He moved the side of "Annie."
He shook her.
He asked, "Are you all right?"

All of those were proper techniques.
Just then, Philip said, without a smile, "Sir. She says she can't feel her legs!"

SCRIPTURE_____________________________________________________

Rom 8:16-17
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

THOUGHT_________________________________________________________

When we are truly saved, God's Holy Spirit "beareth witness with our spirit" that we have become "children of God!" And since we have become children of God, then we are given the privilege of being "joint-heirs with Christ!"
What a glorious meditation point!
What a wondrous stream of thoughts this provokes!

Meditate upon this thought: Jesus is "King of kings and Lord of Lords!" (Rev. 19:16)
But He came to earth to become your conquering Savior!
And Jesus prayed, ".. the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:" (John 17:22)

Think of all He has given you:
His robes of "righteousness" (2Cor 5:21),
A "royal priesthood" (1Pet. 2:9),
"Overcoming" ability (Rev. 3:21),
"Joy unspeakable" (1Pet. 1:8),
Full assurance of that "blessed hope" (Titus 2:13),
And so, so much more!!!

Meditate, and then, ACT!
May all Christians be willing to "suffer with Him, that we may be also glorified together."

Feel your spiritual legs!!

Love ya,
Bruce
