THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
In the worship service, the preacher was getting to his final point.
He was really bearing down and preaching loudly.
Then, a baby began crying, ALSO very loudly.
Mom got up and started out with the baby.
The preacher said, "Ma'am, that baby's not bothering me."
The lady said, "No, sir. But you are bothering him!"

Acts 13:38-39
38 Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:
39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

Paul, preaching in the synagogue in Antioch of Pisidia makes two points very important to us today:
First, through Jesus we receive "forgiveness of sins."
Second, through Christ we are "justified from all things."
FORGIVENESS OF SINS
When a believer, convicted by God's Holy Spirit and Word, surrenders to Christ, then "forgiveness of sins" is given by Christ!
Our greatest desire, once convicted, is to KNOW that our Father has forgiven us.
When shall we be forgiven of ALL sin?
It is when we SURRENDER to Christ!
When a believer turns his/her life over to Christ, then he/she is "..accepted in the Beloved." (Ephesians 1:6).
We are adopted into the family of God through Jesus Christ.
When you are accepted, then the adoption shall never be annulled!
PRAISE GOD!
Now there are sins we commit daily (Romans 3:23) that certainly strain our relationship with God, and will bring disfavor upon us because of His disappointment.
But we still have our "Advocate," the Lord, Jesus Christ.
And if we come repentantly pleading forgiveness daily, then those sins are forgiven through Christ also (1John 1:9).
JUSTIFIED FROM ALL THINGS
Note that verse 39 says, "ye could NOT be justified by the law of Moses."
It is impossible to be justified by a law that we are constantly breaking.
But Jesus is God, and in His Person He overrides all law!
You CAN BE justified in Jesus Christ!
In Christ ALL sin was defeated and TOTAL atonement is offered!
He is "the LORD our righteousness" (Jeremiah 23:6).
If we were not forgiven and justified, we could not be adopted.
If we were not forgiven and justified, we could not have communion with God.
But today, believers are forgiven and justified: acquitted, accepted, adopted!
1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
(Rom 8:1-2)
GO TO Christ each day for forgiveness.
Then STAND in His justification
Love ya!
