THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
A policeman noticed a lady sitting slumped over her steering wheel near the entrance to the commuter
train station.
He approached her, and found she was half laughing, and half crying. He asked, "Ma'am is anything
wrong?"
She said, "For ten years I've driven my husband to this commuter train station so he could catch the
train to work. This morning I forgot HIM!"

Heb 4:16
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to
help in time of need.

Sometimes we get so used to going, doing, working that we forget HIM -- our Lord, Jesus!
He is the source of our strength.
Without Him we can accomplish nothing of value.
Don't get me wrong, God DOES want us to be working.
We aren't called to salvation so we can just sit and wait until God takes us to heaven.
We are called to DO.
We are called to study, learn, grow, pray, worship, visit, witness, minister and be useful in God's
kingdom.
But in all that we are called to do, He is the source of our strength.
When we begin to try and accomplish kingdom work without Christ's help, we fail.
We can "obtain mercy" for the work we are to do -- on our knees.
We can "find grace to help." We can find it on our knees pleading with our Lord.
It is only when we yield ourselves to HIM that we receive the strength that is required for kingdom work.
It is spiritual strength.
It comes from the "throne of grace!" Without that strength, we are only dried up "branches" of the
True "Vine."
First, come and receive.
THEN go and do.
Love ya,
Bruce
