THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
A married couple visited the doctor's office. They owned a big dair farm. He told the doctor that his wife had lost some of her pep.
The doctor asked, "What exactly do you mean?"
The man said, "Well, she gets up in the morning at about 4AM. She milks the cows, gets breakfast for the workers, washes and dries the dishes, then does her housework. But about noon she begins to feel tired. Can you recommend a good tonic for increasing her energy?"

Song 4:15-16
15 A fountain of gardens, a well of living waters, and streams from Lebanon.
16 Awake, O north wind; and come, thou south; blow upon my garden, that the spices thereof may flow out. Let my beloved come into his garden, and eat his pleasant fruits.
KJV

In the Scripture above, the husband is the "fountain of gardens," and the wife is the garden. The deepest of her desires is to please him.
Christ is the "fountain of gardens," Christians are the gardens. He is the "well of living waters," the essential need for every Christian. It must be the deepest of our desires to please Him to Whom we owe our existence.
The soul saved is a soul sanctified by the blood of Christ and the entering of His Spirit. The soul saved is a soul pledged to the Husband, our Christ. It is to Him that we owe the fullness of our "spices," and it is He Who must use His Spirit to stir up our "gardens" for His glory.
How sweet and tender a notion that Christ can find pleasure in our person and in our doings! BUT FIRST --
He must send the wind of conviction,
He must send the wind of convincing,
He must send the wind of inspiration,
He must send the wind of compelling.
Let us say to our Lord, "All my springs are in THEE!" (Psalm 87:7)
Let us call to His Spirit (verse 16) to blow upon our lives that we may be fruitful for our Lord.
Let us call upon our Lord to send His Spirit and cause us to "will and to do that which is good" (Philippians 2:13).
From the Fountain let Your Spirit flow upon me Oh Lord!
Love ya,
Bruce
