THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

An American was visiting England. In the restaurant he noticed a sign that didn't seem normal.
When the waitress came over he said, "I see by the sign that tips are forbidden here."
She said, "Lor' bless ya, Sir. So was apples in the Garden of Eden."

Eph 1:11-12
11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
KJV

Because of our sins, we deserve hell. But God has predestinated that those who surrender to Christ shall have an inheritance of eternal glory!
What a great God we have! His purpose in creation is to provide salvation. In fact,
every part of God's creation points to salvation.
God's wisdom has prepared and designed a creation that has a purpose. And that purpose is to bring those who surrender to Him to heaven. And God is causing all things in creation to lead men by the counsel of his own will.
God knows the end from the beginning. In His omniscience, He has seen every intricate detail all the way to the end of time. In His wisdom and omnipotence, God is carefully orchestrating the events of world history so that those who WILL believe, CAN believe.
By mercy and grace He formed us, even knowing that we would be rebellious and require a special spiritual magnetism to draw us to Christ. By His providence, He has given us each conviction and reason to yield ourselves as instruments to the Divine Savior.
And when God has finished His work, it shall be to the praise of his glory! It shall certainly not be any glory of our own that brings us to heaven!
The only thing we have to offer God is trust in Christ, and praise! This is the purpose for which we live.
Lord, let me fulfill my purpose today!
Love ya,
Bruce
