THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

Trey decided to take up jogging.
He went to the sports store to purchase some jogging shoes.

After examining several shoes, Trey found a little pocket on the side of one set.
He asked the clerk about it.

The clerk said, "That's for change. In case you jog too far, and are too tired, you can call your wife to come pick you up."

THOUGHT____________________________________

Physically, we go from strength to weakness when we are exercising, and as we get older.
But God says that spiritually, we can go from "strength to strength" ANYtime!

It is true that the "faith-walk" to "Zion" (Heaven) is on an uneven and rocky path.
Our feet stumble; and, at times we fail from weakness.

However, the Christian receives some wonderful strength-renewing things along the way.

*Continual grace from God feeds our faith, and our zeal for Him grows stronger.
*Daily study and prayer makes our grip on the Foundation of Christ more sure.
*Songs of joy feed power into the soul.
*Encouragement from fellow Christians lifts our spirit.
*Physical feebleness is fed strength by our desire for the perfect heaven at the end of our pilgrimage.

In the Christian life, wheelbarrows of affliction and sorrow come wrapped in truckloads of grace!
Intimidation and persecution simply arouse a greater desire to share Jesus!

Christians may grow older, and, as a result become physically weak.
But Jesus Who saves us, also KEEPS us!

And, one day - one blessed day - we shall certainly appear before our Lord!

Serve Jesus, and go from “strength to strength!”

Love ya!
