THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
A tour bus with several ladies from a local retirement home arrived at an abstract art exhibit.
One of the artists happened to be present, and was seated next to some of his paintings.
A lady from the retirement home approached him and asked, "Sir, what is THAT?"
A little peeved, he said, "Ma'am, that is supposed to represent a woman and her child."
Without hesitation, the lady asked, "Well, why ISN'T it?"

James 3:13
Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.

Sometimes I wonder at how many Christians imitate abstract art:
always trying to exemplify something, but never being quite genuine.
According to 1Corinthians 1:24, Jesus is "the wisdom of God" displayed.
If then, we are "endued (endowed, given) with wisdom," that wisdom must come from Christ.
Jesus demonstrated wisdom that was "pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy." (James 3:17)
Therefore, our "conversation" should "shew" (demonstrate) Christ with "meekness," or self-discipline.
Our Christianity should not be abstract, only interpretable by one.
Instead, it should be simply interpretable to all.
Let our lifestyle demonstrate to others a genuine personal relationship with Christ.
Love ya,
Bruce
