… Because he felt crummy.

We must admit, as Christians, sometimes the world makes us feel "crummy." At that point, we need to go to "Doctor Jesus." Just a short visit at His Office will bring understanding to us which overcomes the feelings of the world.

When we come to God through prayer, we realize that we love Him because "He first loved us" (1John 4:19). His love was exhibited in the fact that Jesus came and paid the price for our redemption (Romans 5:8). If He hadn't demonstrated His love for us, we would never have loved Him.

When we heard the Gospel, we were convicted of sin, convinced of Jesus as Savior and Judge (John 16:8-11), and compelled to commit our souls to Him as Lord of our lives (Matthew 10:32-33).

When we love Jesus, we love His Word because it is the expression of His will for our lives (1Peter 4:2).

And when our will is surrendered to His will, then God sets up His "abode" in our hearts (1Corinthians 3:16).

Isn't it amazing that the simple act of prayer reveals all this understanding in our hearts? But there is MORE!

God's constant "abode" with us makes us a new creation! We seek to toss out the "old" ways of the world, and begin revealing the "new" ways of obedience to Him (2Corinthians 5:17).

So, when the world makes you feel "crummy," just go to Doctor Jesus in prayer and think about what that action means. He will reveal to you understanding that overrules the feelings of the world.

Love ya,
Bruce
