THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
The assistant ushered the nearly blind Mr. Black into the dentist's room.
Though the assistant hadn't shown him the chair, he sat down anyway.
It was different. Seemed odd.
The chair moved back and forward instead of up and down.
The dentist came in and said, "Mr. Black, would you step out of the filing cabinet and into this chair?"

Son of man, What is the vine tree more than any tree, or than a branch which is among the trees of the forest?

Compare the "branches" of the "vine tree" to Israel, the church, or to Christians individually.
If the "vine tree" itself were not of God, and were only of the world, it would be nothing. But the "vine tree" itself is Jesus, and we are "the branches" (John 15:5).
Remember, the "vine tree" of Israel was planted a "noble vine" in the midst of a perverse world. But the people allowed themselves to be changed into a "degenerate plant of a strange vine." (Jeremiah 2:21)
They became like "the trees of the forest" and bore no fruit!
And what of individual Christians, or the church of today? The other branches were "broken off" (Romans 11:20), and believers were "graffed in" (Romans 11:17).
The "Vine" is Jesus Himself.
And the sap from the Vine is God's Holy Spirit Who "worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure." (Philippians 2:13)
But if the sap of the vine is not flowing in the branches and producing fruit, then the branches will be "cast .... into the fire, and they are burned!" (John 15:6)
With so many references to "the Vine" and "the branches," why do we have so many so-called Christians that are fruitless?
We need to get out of the filing cabinet and into God's chair so He can operate!
Pray that you will exhibit being a true branch of the True Vine!
Pray that God's Holy Spirit will flow through you producing fruit daily!
