THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Someone sent me a nice little e-mail filled with the nostalgia of old "Burma Shave" signs. Perhaps you remember some of those signs. They were short sayings set a few hundred yards apart on the roadside.
I remember one such set of signs I saw in Tennessee.
"Don't pass cars"
"On curve or hill"
"If cops don't get you"
"Mortician will."

Ps 107:1-8
1 O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;
3 And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south.
4 They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in.
5 Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.
6 Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.
7 And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.
8 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

We have so much to praise God for!
Sometimes, when I have a bad cold like I've had the last few days, I find several things to complain about. However, reading Psalms like the one above seem to restore a more positive attitude.
(vs 2) When I wasn't trying to find God - HE found me!
(vss 3-4) When I was lost in the wilderness of sin, and on my way to an eternal hell, God interrupted my journey. He showed me a Savior Who really loved me!
(vs 5) When I was hungry and thirsty for more than just this life, God showed me there IS more. Eternal glory is waiting for those who surrender to Him.
(vs 6) When God made me aware of my sinfulness, and my need of forgiveness, I asked Him to forgive me and save me. And He DID!
(vs 7) Now God leads me in the right direction - toward an eternal home in glory!
There is SO MUCH to be thankful for!
( vs 8) "Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!"
Love ya,
Bruce
