HI!

Things to be thankful for:

Ps 105:1-3
1 O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.
2 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.
3 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.
(KJV)

Thanksgiving toward God reflects the realization in our hearts that HE is the One Who gives "every good gift and every perfect gift" (James 1:17). Thanksgiving toward God returns praise to Him for His blessings toward us. And thanksgiving toward God causes other people to see that we BELIEVE in Him.
Tomorrow, as we celebrate Thanksgiving Day in our homes, some of us from our church will take time out to visit the church and observe The Lord's Supper. What a wonderful day to pause and give thanks to God for His great love and mercy.
He has given His body and His blood for our sins. When we had no sacrifice worthy of His forgiveness, He made one for us through Himself. How great a love is God's love, that He would "lay down His life for His friends" (John 15:13). He gave His life as a RANSOM to bring us out of the slavery of sin!
He has given us hope through the resurrection. The solemnity of the tomb is that my sin caused the death of my Savior. The joy of the tomb is: it is EMPTY! God rose ABOVE my sins, and can bring me to His eternal home WITHOUT sin!
Tomorrow, as we celebrate Thanksgiving Day, let us remember to give thanks FIRST for Christ, our LORD and SAVIOR!
Love ya,
Bruce

He Who so wanted the society of men will have His own with Him where He is, at last and forever.
