THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

A man was driving to work when a truck ran a stop sign, hit his car broadside, and knocked him cold. His vehicle caught fire. Passersby pulled him from the wreck and revived him. He began a terrific struggle and had to be tranquilized by the medics.

Later, when he was calm, they asked him why he struggled so.

He said, "I remember the impact, then nothing. I woke up on a concrete slab, with fire all around me. We were in front of a huge, flashing 'Shell' sign...but somebody was standing in front of the "S!"

Let us not open the door to this day without praise to our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ!

Lord, Jesus, it is "in THEE" that we are "glad and rejoice!"

We are "GLAD!" For He has done "great things" for us!
He has opened the way of life, and given us our breath.
He has opened the way to eternal life, and given us His blood.
He has defeated the captivity of sin and given the gift of His Spirit.
He has left us His Word so that we can learn of Him.
He has given us His promise to bring us through this life to the one beyond.

We shall "REJOICE!" For He is "closer than a brother!"
He is the "Vine," and from Him we draw our strength.
He is the "Bridegroom," and we yearn for His soon appearing.
He is the "Light," and reveals to us truth.
He is the "Hope," and helps us look beyond today into eternity.
He is "Love," and makes us to know that love is more than feelings; for it is commitment.

Jesus is our "peace" in times of trouble.
Jesus is our "gladness" even in time of sorrow.
Jesus is our "comfort" and helps us give comfort to others.
In Jesus we are "confident" that God will complete what He has begun in us.

It is "in THEE," Lord Jesus that the "water of Life" flows.
It is from "THEE," Lord Jesus that those "rivers of water" flow strongly from our souls.

Let us this day proclaim that we are "GLAD and REJOICE in THEE!"

Love ya,
Bruce
