THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Once, when I was in the 5th grade, Dad came in while I was doing my homework.
He asked me, "What kind of homework are you doing?"
I said, "Math, Dad."
He said, "What kind of problems are you working?" (Dad is a math whiz.)
I said, "Finding the common denominator in these problems."
He said, "My goodness! They still looking for that? They were looking for that when I was a kid!"

Ps 56:9
"When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me."

Our Father in heaven is "for us!"
He was "for us" before the world was created, for He mapped out salvation even then.
He was "for us" when He sent His only beloved Son, Jesus, to die for us on the cross.
He was "for us" when we were lost sinners, and gently called us by His Holy Spirit.
He was "for us" when He convicted us of sin and convinced us of our need for the Savior.
And He is STILL "for us" as saved sinners, pricking our consciences and leading us to pray for forgiveness.
He is "for us" in omnipotence, in omniscience, and in all His glory and power!
He is "for us" in temptations.
He is "for us" in trials.
He is "for us" in sickness.
He is even "for us" when we are persecuted.
Take this statement, "God is for me," to heart!
Therefore, we know that He hears us when we pray. And all we have to do when we face trouble is tell our loving Father!
He hears.
He answers.
He is "for us!"
Love ya,
Bruce
