THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

Back in the "horse and buggy" days, and elderly man approached a preacher.
He said, "Sir, I must sell my horse. He is a good horse. He'll either ride or pull a buggy. He always has a good demeanor, and cooperates easily in every situation."

The preacher replied, "Sir, I'm sorry I cannot buy your horse. But I sure would like to have him as a member of my congregation."

Peter ended his second letter to the churches with the statement above; 2Pet. 3:18.

GROW.
Every Christian needs growth. We are "born again" into new life. It is our joy as "babes in Christ," to learn and grow so that we might be more useful to our Lord.

Grow in GRACE.
The word "grace" is translated from the Greek "charis," which can mean acting in benefit of another, or acting to give another kindness.
Kindness and giving are two hallmarks of the Christian faith.

Grow in grace, and in the KNOWLEDGE of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
When we are saved, we receive an unquenchable thirst for the knowledge of Christ.
We want to know MORE, and MORE of Him Who died to give us eternal life.
Bible study is indicative of a genuine Christian.
We learn more about Jesus by studying God's revelation of Himself in Christ: the Bible.

Just as growth is important to a newborn child, it is also to the Christian.

Are you GROWING?

Love ya,
Bruce
