THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
The doctor was examining the elder man quite thoroughly.
The elder man asked, "Is there anything that will help, Doc?"
The doctor replied, "Well, a doctor can only do so much. He can't make an old man younger."
The elder man said, "Who wants to get younger? I just want to know if I'll live to grow older!"

God is "faithful!"
God is "faithful" to call upon sinners like me to be saved!
He is faithful to His purpose for humanity. His desire is that "all should come to repentance." (3Peter 3:9). And, God faithfully calls, that all men may have the privilege of being saved and living with Him eternally.
God is "faithful" to those who have surrendered to Him.
He is faithful to be present with us through His Holy Spirit. He is faithful to have provided a "Word" from Himself to guide us. He is faithful to be our "Comforter," and our "Providor."
He is our "very present help" at all times (Ps. 46:1).
God is "faithful" to bring His eternal end for us to full accomplishment!
His calling is not an eternal security such that keeps us from growing older, or even from being a continual sinner.
But His calling is an eternal security to His own FAITHFULNESS!
He WILL complete the work He began in me, and in you!
Along with Paul, we can say, I am "confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:" (Philippians 1:6).
Grow older.
Grow older with assurance.
God is FAITHFUL!
