THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
A lady called the fire department one day. She yelled into the phone, "PLEASE COME QUICKLY!! My house is on FIRE!"
The fireman that answered said, "Ok Ma'am, calm down. Tell us how to get there."
There was dead silence on the phone for a moment. Then the lady asked, "What? Don't you have your red truck anymore?"

Prov 2:6-7
6 For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
7 He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.

Now, all you folk know I'm Baptist....so, I kinda frown on dancing. It's all right to tap your foot to the music in church, but don't move both feet at one time -- that's dancing!
But seriously, let's talk about dancing for a moment.
When I meditated on the word GUIDANCE, I kept seeing "dance" at the end of the word. Sometimes, letting God GUIDE us is a lot like dancing.
When two people try to lead, nothing feels right. The movement doesn't flow with the music, and everything is quite uncomfortable and jerky.
When one person lets the other lead, both people begin to flow with the music. One gives gentle cues, perhaps with a nudge to the back or by pressing lightly in one direction or another. It's as if two become one body, moving beautifully.
To dance, one person must surrender willingly, and be attentive to the gentle guidance and skill of the other person.
Now, let's look back at the word GUIDANCE.
When I saw "G," I thought of God, followed by "u" and "i."
"God, "u" and "i" dance"!
God, you and I dance!
This statement is what guidance means to me. As I lowered my head to pray, I became willing to trust that I would get guidance about my life. Once again, I became willing to let God lead.
We certainly want to praise God! And one way to praise Him is to dance to HIS leadership. Dance together with God, trusting Him to lead and to guide you through today, and every day, of your life.
Love ya,
Bruce
