THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

Once in his boyhood, Sir Thomas Lipton accompanied his Father and Mother to the little country store. There, they would trade, barter and buy things from the store by using some of their farm products.

When they left the store, Thomas asked his Father if he could make a suggestion. His father said, "Yes. What is it?"

Thomas said, "From now on, let Mother show the Storekeeper the eggs. They look so much LARGER in her hands!"

1 John 1:1-3
1:1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
2(For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

What have your hands handled today?

John said he had handled the "Word of life," He handled the LIVING Lord, Jesus. John had touched Him, shaken hands with Him, perhaps even helped our Lord on with his coat.

And John's determination was to DECLARE Whom he had handled to others. His purpose in doing so was to give others an opportunity to "have fellowship.." with believers, with God the Father, and with the Person of Jesus Christ.

Have we not handled the "Word of Life" (our Bibles) today? The written Word of God is the revelation of the Living Word of God - Jesus Christ.

Our determination should be to DECLARE Him Whom we have handled! Our purpose is to give others an opportunity to KNOW Him as eternal Creator, wonderful Savior, and living Lord.

Have you handled the Bible today?
Share with others the wonderful news you found there!

Love ya,
