THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

Two little boys were in their room. One of them began to pray in a very loud voice for a birthday present.
His brother said, "You don't have to pray so loud, God isn't deaf."
He said, "Yes. I know. But Mom and Dad are in the next room."

2 Sam 15:14
And David said unto all his servants that were with him at Jerusalem, Arise, and let us flee; for we shall not else escape from Absalom: make speed to depart, lest he overtake us suddenly, and bring evil upon us, and smite the city with the edge of the sword.

What prayers have you made that you feel God hasn't heard?
Shall we be anointed and not afflicted?
When Absalom rebelled against his own father, David, David ran away. He did not want to fight with his own son. And he KNEW that if God was really FOR him, then no one could stand that was AGAINST him.
Do you have that assurance in your heart today Christian friend?
David, God said, was a "man after God's own heart." (1Samuel 13:14) Yet David suffered affliction - even the affliction of having a son try to take away his kingdom. Yes, David was a sinner, like all of us. But David genuinely loved the Lord. And He knew in his heart that God was his Protector and Providor!
Jesus, God's own Perfect Son, also suffered affliction. He even suffered the affliction of OUR sins upon Himself! And in the darkest hour that mankind handed Him, the Father turned His face away!
Perhaps today you are afflicted by some unfounded gossip.
Perhaps today you are afflicted by poverty.
Perhaps today you are afflicted by bodily pain.
Perhaps today you are afflicted by contempt and/or persecution.
Never believe that because you are anointed you won't be afflicted.
Just learn to believe, as David did, that God is always WITH you in every trial.
Love ya,
Bruce
