THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
When I was in the 4th grade, I fell from a horse and broke my right arm.
Since I'm right handed, it was difficult enough trying to write and take tests with my left hand for six weeks.
But, adding to the difficulty, the last visit to the doctor's office was very fearful for a 9-year-old boy.
They were finally going to take the cast off.
I would finally be rid of that heavy thing!
However, when the doctor came into the room, he was carrying what looked to me like
a SKILL SAW!
I started for the door!
My Dad pulled me back!
I yelled, "NO!! He's gonna cut my arm!!"
Well, Dad insisted, and began to hold me down!
The only thing a little 9-year-old could do was PRAY!!
So I looked up, and yelled "HELP!"

Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins.

When we go before the Lord in prayer for our sorrows, we should include sorrow for our sin!
The Psalmist only asked the Lord to "look" (look favorably, and with grace) upon his pain.
But He ask for the Lord to "forgive" his sins -- ALL his sins!
Yes, God is always looking upon His children in grace.
With sorrow He gives comfort.
With affliction He gives courage.
With pain He gives strength to endure.
God also sees all our sins.
It is good that we CONFESS them eagerly before Him, and beg His forgiveness.
The next time you have difficulty and seek God for help, remember you are an humble
BEGGAR, seeking mercy from the Living God.
"Fess up" to the wrong.
THEN, ask for God's help.
Love ya,
Bruce
